Endometriosis affects around 1 in 10 women and people assigned female at birth, yet diagnosis can take an average of 7–10 years. Many are told their pain is “normal” long before they are taken seriously.

In this Endometriosis Awareness Month session, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr Laura Bangs joins endometriosis coach Christianne Carrick for a grounded, practical conversation that combines clinical clarity with lived experience.

Together, we explore:

  • What endometriosis actually is
  • Why diagnosis can take so long
  • Investigations and treatment pathways
  • The emotional and professional impact of chronic pain
  • How to prepare for appointments and advocate for yourself

This session is designed to feel calm, informed and usable. Not awareness-heavy, but practical.

You will leave with a clearer understanding of the condition, better language to describe your symptoms, and concrete tools to navigate healthcare with more confidence.
